All the rules to be followed in executing the traditional or Tridentine Latin Mass are included as far as the types are concerned: low Mass, solemn high Mass, or the various forms of the Requiem Mass. This basic manual or textbook, originally designed for priests and seminarians, not only teaches the correct way to celebrate the traditional Mass, but also includes comments on the nature of the liturgy, liturgical law, the calendar, vestments, and a multitude of related topics. Moreover, laymen may have an interest in discovering the underpinnings of the Mass and what is required of the celebrant. In this way they may have a better appreciation of the priest and his action when he offers the Sacrifice of the Mass.
